I offer a few shots of the main Szczecin cemetery , which is the third largest cemetery in Europe and the largest in Poland . It was designed as a park-cemetery by Wilhelm Meyer in 1901. His grave is shown here . His wife and two sons are buried there too . One of them was killed at Verdun in WWI . The marker rests in a quiet spot among the trees .
I took the tram over there with my friend Przemek . We saw only a small bit of the entire place and decided to save other sections for next year . We visited one circle of graves that surrounded a large round fountain . Some of Przemek’s former teachers were entombed there .
